Sony announces more PS5 price hikes

Sony announced a price increase for PS5 consoles and PlayStation Portal company announced worldwide price rises starting April 1.

PS5 consoles raised U.S. PS5 prices by $100 to $150 depending on model effective April 1; standard PS5 now $649.99.

Standard PS5 set the U.S. price of the standard PlayStation 5 at $649.99 compared with original launch price of $499.99 in November 2020.

PS5 models set U.S. prices for PS5 Digital Edition and PS5 Pro, digital Edition $599.99; PS5 Pro $899.99.

Regional pricing set regional PS5 prices for the U.K., Europe, and Japan, u.K.: £569.99/£519.99/£789.99; Europe: €649.99/€599.99/€899.99; Japan: ¥97,980/¥89,980/¥137,980 (standard/digital/pro).
