Cyberpunk 2077 Is Getting a Free PS5 Pro Upgrade Tomorrow

CD Projekt Red will release a free PS5 Pro upgrade for Cyberpunk 2077 on April 8 that adds visual and performance improvements.

The update uses Sony's PSSR 2 upscaling and BVH8-based ray tracing to improve image clarity, lighting, shadows, and reflections.

Players will get three performance modes: Ray Tracing Pro (40 FPS VRR/30 FPS non-VRR), Ray Tracing (target 60 FPS), and Performance (up to 90 FPS on VRR displays).

No new content is included; the patch focuses on technical upgrades to leverage PS5 Pro hardware.
