Ebola outbreak: WHO declares emergency, US restricts travel, American infected

WHO declared an Ebola emergency as authorities stepped up the international response.

The CDC began screening and limiting travelers from affected countries, including the Democratic Republic of Congo, Uganda, and South Sudan.

One American working in the DRC tested positive after workplace exposure and is being evacuated for treatment in Germany.
