Microsoft's latest Copilot idea is a pinnable sidebar that steals your screen real estate

Microsoft is testing a new dockable Copilot window in Windows that can pin to the left or right side of the screen.

The feature adds title-bar docking controls and can still be used as a normal resizable floating window.

It would sit alongside the existing picture-in-picture mode, but open as a floating window by default.

The move underscores Microsoft’s effort to push Copilot deeper into Windows, despite user concerns about lost desktop space.
