Tata Electronics and ASML signed an MoU to support India’s planned semiconductor plant in Dholera, Gujarat.

The 300 mm fab is expected to cost about $11 billion and will focus on mature and mid-range chip processes.

ASML’s role includes technology support, training, and lithography capabilities to help the facility get off the ground.

The project is a major step toward building India’s own chip-making capacity beyond assembly and into full manufacturing.
