NYT’s Wordle to Become a TV Game Show

The New York Times is adapting Wordle into a fast-paced NBC game show for next year.

Savannah Guthrie will host, while the Times and Jimmy Fallon are serving as production partners.

NBC plans to film episodes this summer and is now recruiting contestants.

The move takes Wordle beyond mobile play and marks the Times’ first entertainment TV partnership.
