Advancing Claude in healthcare and the life sciences

Anthropic is expanding Claude into healthcare and life sciences with HIPAA-ready tools and new scientific capabilities.

The update adds connectors to medical standards and databases such as PubMed, FHIR, ICD-10, CMS, and the National Provider Identifier Registry.

Claude now targets prior authorization, coding, provider verification, clinical trial management, and regulatory workflows.

The company says the features could reduce administrative burden and help speed research and patient access to treatments.
