Crimson Desert patch 1.01 adds mounts, QoL fixes and begins replacing AI-generated art

Pearl Abyss released Crimson Desert patch 1.01 on PC, PS5, and Xbox Series X|S on Mar 29, 2026.

The update adds five new mounts players can summon and ride across Pywel.

Patch notes say select 2D visual assets were replaced as part of ongoing visual improvements, beginning removal of AI-generated art.

The patch also changes mechanics and conveniences, including witness-based Contribution loss, increased movement speed, reduced flight stamina cost, and faster fast-travel.

Players who previously caught the Legendary Animals will receive retroactive rewards after the update.
