Toyota Boshoku unveiled the Crown Seat Desk Chair, a limited-edition gaming-style chair based on the Toyota Crown front power seat.

It keeps car-seat features like electric adjustment, heating, ventilation, a built-in battery, and a USB-C port in the former seatbelt buckle.

Only 70 units will be sold, and only in Japan, at a price of about $3,500.

The launch highlights how automakers are turning vehicle seat technology into premium office and gaming furniture.
