Artemis II moon crew just entered most critical phase yet

Artemis II's Orion reached Earth orbit after a launch from Kennedy Space Center.

The crew performed a 5 minute 50 second main-engine burn to set a lunar trajectory about 250,000 miles away.

The 10-day mission will fly around the moon, return to Earth, and splash down off California.

The crew includes Reid Wiseman, Victor Glover, Christina Koch, and CSA astronaut Jeremy Hansen.

NASA called the burn successful and released mission footage showing upcoming key events.
