Gemini app prepares ‘Proactive Assistance’ and new Gemini voices

Google is testing a Gemini app feature called Proactive Assistance that can use Gmail, Calendar, on-screen content, and notifications to offer timely suggestions.

The feature appears designed to process data in a private encrypted space on-device, with no model training or human review.

Google also seems to be renaming the proactive feed to Daily brief and removing older Gemini voice options in favor of new voices.
