First U.S. Patients Treated With Microrobotic Surgery For Alzheimer’s

The first U.S. patients underwent microrobot-assisted surgery in a small Alzheimer’s trial at Baptist Health in Jacksonville.

The procedure is designed to improve lymphatic drainage as an early-stage approach to treating Alzheimer’s disease.

In a separate move, Sun Pharmaceutical agreed to buy Organon for $11.8 billion to expand its U.S. drug business.

The deal would significantly deepen Sun Pharma’s American presence and broaden its healthcare footprint.
