These two huge PC performance app downloads have been infected by a virus

CPUID’s official CPU-Z and HWMonitor download pages were briefly compromised.

Some download links were swapped for malware-infected files, including one flagged by Windows Defender.

The correct links later returned, but CPUID had not commented at the time.

Anyone who downloaded from the site during the incident should verify the files and scan their systems.
