Apple’s 2028 iPhone display sounds impossible, but Samsung and LG are scrambling to build it

Apple is reportedly pushing Samsung and LG to develop a four-sided bending OLED display for future iPhones.

The panel would use IZO cathodes and bend at all four edges, reducing the distortion seen in current curved screens.

LG Display has reportedly begun investing in production infrastructure, while Samsung is still considering dedicated factory lines.

If successful, the design could set a new benchmark for all-screen smartphones and push suppliers to upgrade manufacturing.
