Google Is Turning The Fitbit App Into a Unified Portal for Your Health and Fitness Data

Google will rebrand the Fitbit app as the Google Health app on May 19, unifying health and fitness data in one place.

The app will get four main tabs, support medical record syncing in the U.S., and add third-party integrations like Peloton and MyFitnessPal.

Premium subscribers will gain Gemini-powered Health Coach, with Google promising Fitbit health data won’t be used for Google Ads.

Google Fit users will later be invited to migrate, as Google expands Fitbit into a broader AI-driven health platform.
