Android 17 is getting its own version of Apple’s Handoff

Google is introducing Continue On for Android 17, a cross-device handoff feature.

It will surface the most recently used phone app on a compatible tablet so users can resume tasks like documents, email, or web pages.

The first version is expected to be testable in Android 17 RC1 and will initially work from phone to tablet only.

The feature aims to strengthen Android continuity and bring Google closer to Apple’s Handoff experience.
