Google launches new Android security feature to help uncover spyware attacks

Google is rolling out Intrusion Logging, an opt-in Android security feature in Advanced Protection Mode.

It records daily security logs, encrypts them, and stores them in the user’s Google account for forensic review.

The feature is meant to help investigators spot and analyze suspected spyware intrusions on compromised devices.

Amnesty International helped develop the tool, and it is coming to Android 16 December update devices and newer.
