Vertical browser tabs are better and you should use them

Chrome added a reading mode that strips page clutter and an option to display tabs vertically in a sidebar.

When vertical tabs are enabled the address bar moves to the top row, which reduces vertical chrome and frees up content space.

Vertical tabs make more tab titles visible on narrow screens, help manage tab groups, and can be shrunk to show only favicons.
