Meta will notify parents when their teens add new interests to their Instagram algorithm

Meta is expanding Instagram Teen Accounts so parents can see broad topics their teens engage with and get alerts when algorithm interests change.

The company is consolidating parental controls for Instagram, Facebook, Messenger, and Horizon into a single Family Center.

Meta says it will add more supervision tools, giving parents broader visibility into teen activity across its apps.
