"Aluminum Can Collection Machine" from Teraoka Seiko that compresses cans down to one-third their size

Teraoka Seiko has developed an automated aluminum can collection machine that compresses cans to one-half to one-third of their original volume.

The system detects and removes foreign objects and leftover liquid, improving safety and collection quality.

It is designed for stores and public facilities, where it could make can recycling easier and more efficient.

By reducing transport volume, the machine may also help cut CO2 emissions in recycling logistics.

A preview will be shown at the 2026 NEW Environmental Exhibition at Tokyo Big Sight.
