Scientists Intrigued by Nasal Spray That Reverses Brain Aging in Mice, Say It May Work on Humans as Well

Texas A&M researchers tested a stem-cell-derived nasal spray in older mice and saw reduced brain inflammation plus better memory.

The spray uses extracellular vesicles from neural stem cells, which appear to help restore cognitive function in aging brains.

The findings, published in the Journal of Extracellular Vesicles, have led to a patent filing and plans for future human testing.

If successful in people, the approach could offer a non-invasive way to slow brain aging and potentially aid dementia care.
