Microsoft offers IT admins a way to remove Copilot

Microsoft introduced a new RemoveMicrosoftCopilotApp policy for managed Windows devices.

The policy can uninstall the Copilot app only when Microsoft 365 Copilot is installed, the app was not user-installed, and it has not been opened in 28 days.

IT admins can configure the setting through Intune, Group Policy, or Policy CSP on supported Windows 11 and other eligible Windows editions.

The change gives organizations more control over AI apps on corporate PCs while still allowing users to reinstall Copilot later.
