Google Makes It Easy to Deepfake Yourself

Google updated Flow with Omni Flash to improve video consistency and detail in AI-generated clips.

The company also added a self-avatar setup that uses a QR scan plus voice and movement recording to create a realistic AI version of the user.

Outputs generated with Flow will include SynthID watermarking, reinforcing Google’s push for traceable AI media.

The update could make personal video creation easier for creators, while also renewing concerns about authenticity and deepfakes.
