Google can now vibe-code you an Android app

Google says AI Studio can now generate native Android apps from prompts, preview them in an embedded emulator, and install them on a connected device.

The first release targets utility, hardware-enabled, and Gemini-powered apps, while Google says Play Store review standards remain the same.

Google also rolled out related Android and discovery features, including a command-line tool, Gemini app recommendations, and a Play Shorts video feed.
