Google unveils audio-based smart glasses... to launch within the year

Google unveiled a new AI smart glasses lineup at I/O and said it will launch its voice-based “audio glasses” later this year.

The glasses were co-designed with Warby Parker, Gentle Monster, and Samsung, and will work on both Android and iOS.

They will connect with Google services such as Gemini, signaling a renewed push into wearable AI after earlier Glass setbacks.

The move intensifies competition with Meta and could accelerate broader adoption of AI wearables.
