Oppo’s new phone has one camera too many

Oppo launched the Find X9 Ultra in Europe and the UK, spotlighting a 10x telephoto lens and a camera-first redesign.

The phone packs flagship hardware including a 144Hz OLED display, Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5, and a 7,050mAh battery.

Its main camera system is impressive overall, but the 10x zoom is weaker in low light and with moving subjects.

The launch underscores how ultra-premium phones are competing through camera hardware and industrial design.
