Cisco said 85% of enterprise customers are piloting AI agents, but only 5% have moved them into production.

At RSA Conference 2026, Jeetu Patel said trust—not capability—is the real bottleneck to deployment.

Cisco announced new security offerings, including AI Defense Explorer Edition, Agent Runtime SDK, and an LLM Security Leaderboard.

The company also bundled open-source protections into Defense Claw and integrated them with Nvidia’s OpenShell within 48 hours.

Patel said Cisco is ahead of much of the market in agent-security product development, aiming to make AI agents safe for business-critical use.
