4GB GPUs might return with AMD's Radeon RX 9050

AMD’s new Radeon RX 9050 entry-level RDNA 4 card launched with 8GB GDDR6, but a leaked link points to a possible 4GB variant.

The RX 9050 uses the Navi 44 chip with fewer compute resources than the RX 9060, and ASRock appears to be the first partner to list it.

AMD has not announced pricing, and it is unclear whether the company’s performance claims cover both memory configurations.

If real, a 4GB RX 9050 would highlight how DRAM shortages and cost pressure are pushing budget GPUs backward as game VRAM demands rise.
