Someone got a hold of the LG Rollable to show us all how it works, and it makes me wish LG were still around. But would you buy it?

The LG Rollable, first teased at CES 2021, never launched after LG left the smartphone market.

Some working units circulated and Zack Nelson of JerryRigEverything performed a full teardown.

The device uses a motorized rail with three spring-loaded arms and dual motors to expand and retract the display.

Specs shown include a 64MP main camera, 12MP ultrawide, 4,500mAh battery, and a rear fingerprint power button.

When retracted the back offers a small active display area for widgets and selfies, and the software adapts to screen expansion.
