We finally know when Samsung Messages is going away for good

Samsung announced on its US support page that Samsung Messages will be discontinued in July.

The company says the Samsung Messages app displays the exact end date and provides migration instructions to Google Messages.

Android 12–13 devices require manual steps to move Google Messages to the home dock, while Android 14+ guides and automates the switch.

Pre-Watch4 smartwatches will lose full conversation history after the app ends, and devices launched before 2022 may see RCS interruptions.

Galaxy S26 and newer flagships already cannot download Samsung Messages, and Samsung highlighted Google Messages' features like spam filters and multi-device support.
