TSMC unveils process technology roadmap through 2029 — A12, A13, N2U announced, A16 slips to 2027

TSMC outlined its manufacturing roadmap through 2029 at its North American Technology Symposium 2026.

The company added A12 and A13 as derivatives of A14, and announced N2U for client devices.

A16 was pushed to 2027, while TSMC said it has no plans to use High-NA EUV through 2029.

The roadmap suggests faster annual updates for client chips, alongside slower, performance-focused nodes for AI and HPC customers.
