Pinecone introduced Nexus in early access, a knowledge engine that compiles enterprise data into persistent, task-specific artifacts before agents query it.

The company also unveiled KnowQL, a way to specify structured outputs along with confidence and latency requirements for agent workflows.

Pinecone argues this compilation-stage approach can cut token usage, lower latency, and improve consistency versus traditional session-by-session RAG.

The move positions Pinecone to become a deeper enterprise AI infrastructure layer focused on auditable, reusable context for agentic AI.
