New U.S. law aims to halt ASML sales to China

U.S. lawmakers introduced the MATCH Act to tighten export rules on chip equipment to China.

The bill targets immersion DUV lithography and would ban sales and maintenance to named Chinese firms including SMIC and Huawei.

ASML earned 33% of its 2025 revenue from China and currently still sells older DUV systems there despite EUV export bans.

If passed, the law would stop servicing of machines and reduce ASML sales, and it must still pass the legislative process.
