Amazon Starts Shipping Products by Shinkansen, Using JR East’s "HakoBuun" Service

Amazon Japan will start shipping products using Shinkansen business cargo space from May 28.

The service will use JR’s Hako-Bin logistics on the Tohoku, Tohoku-Hokkaido, and Hokuriku Shinkansen lines.

This could enable same-day delivery to Aomori, Hakodate, and Kanazawa.

The move may also improve trunk-line transport efficiency and reduce CO2 emissions.
