Nishi-Kurosaki Station in Fukuoka to be abolished in July: Chikuhō Electric Railroad

Chikuho Electric Railway will close Nishi-Kurosaki Station in Kitakyushu at the end of July.

The station has been suspended since October 2021 because of Kurosaki Bypass construction.

The company says reopening would require costly repairs and would worsen its finances.

It cited years of losses and declining ridership, noting the station was lightly used and near other stations.
