Audi and SAIC Form New JV Tech Entity, Transferring Core R&D Teams

Audi and SAIC Motor are creating an independent tech joint venture, the Audi Technology Innovation Center.

The new JV will absorb SAIC Audi’s R&D and product teams and handle development and product definition for future AUDI models.

Sales and service will remain with the existing SAIC Volkswagen network.

The restructuring deepens Audi’s localization in China and is aimed at faster next-gen EV and software-led innovation.
