Artemis II Mission Launches Successfully

NASA successfully launched Artemis II from Cape Canaveral on a 10-day crewed test flight to the Moon.

Four astronauts aboard the SLS rocket and Orion capsule will first check systems in Earth orbit, then loop around lunar orbit without landing.

The mission marks the first time a woman and a Black astronaut will fly on a crewed mission to lunar orbit.

Artemis II is a major test for future Moon landings and long-term lunar base plans.
