Google Gemini Mac app debuts to end the clunky hunt for browser tabs

Google has launched a native Gemini app for Mac, letting users access AI help from anywhere on their Mac without switching to a browser tab.

The app can be summoned with Option + Space and can share the current window or use local files to assist with tasks.

Mac users now get a more integrated way to use Google’s AI tools, and Gemini is the last major AI chat app to arrive on a native Mac desktop app.

The app also brings access to features such as Nano Banana and Veo.
