‘Infinite violations’: AI fuels surge in extreme child abuse imagery, report finds

AI-generated imagery surged by 14 percent in 2025, aI-generated child sexual images and videos increased by 14% in 2025.

Internet Watch Foundation identified more than 8,000 AI-generated images and videos from user reports, iWF identified over 8,000 AI-generated images and videos from user reports in the past year.

AI-generated videos included over 3,400 full-motion hyper-realistic videos, more than 3,400 items were full-motion AI-generated videos.

Depicted the highest severity forms of abuse in over 65 percent of cases, over 65% of the AI-generated videos showed the most severe abuse categories.
