In China, the world’s first subsea data center powered by offshore wind begins full-scale operation

China’s subsea data center in the East China Sea has entered full commercial operation after initial trials.

Built with HiCloud Technology and backed by the government, it uses seawater cooling and direct links to offshore wind power.

The project is drawing attention as a model for cutting data center energy use, cooling loads, and carbon emissions.
