Minecraft Officially Raises Recommended PC Specs

Mojang has raised the minimum and recommended PC specs for Minecraft Java Edition.

The new targets call for more RAM and newer hardware, with 1080p play aimed at 30 FPS on lower presets and 60 FPS on higher ones.

Supported platforms now include Windows 11, macOS 14, and Linux, with example recommended parts like an Intel Core i5-12400 or AMD Ryzen 5 5600.

Graphics recommendations also climb, including cards such as the Nvidia GeForce RTX 2060, AMD Radeon RX 5600 XT, and Apple M2 Pro.

The update could leave older PCs behind, but it reflects Minecraft’s growing feature set and visual upgrades.
