Gmail adds AI Inbox to the bottom bar as Help me write becomes more personal

Google is adding AI Inbox to the Gmail mobile app navigation and bottom bar, starting with beta access for Google AI Ultra subscribers.

The new setup pushes Gmail toward a task-focused, AI-organized inbox on Android and iOS.

Google is also expanding Help me write so it can use context from Google Drive and Gmail.

The drafting tool can now mimic a user’s prior email tone and writing style for supported Google AI and Workspace plans.
