Fusion energy startup signs five-year research agreement with the U.S. government

California-based Fuse has signed a five-year Cooperative Research and Development Agreement with Mission Support and Test Services at the Nevada National Security Sites.

Early work will focus on tritium, neutron yield in pulsed fusion systems, and testing next-generation fusion technologies.

The deal gives Fuse access to government facilities and national-lab expertise, which could speed progress toward practical fusion power.

The collaboration also supports national security research alongside fusion energy development.
