20 former Snap employees launch an AI investment fund targeting the next generation of social media

About 20 former Snap employees have launched Ghost Angels, an angel fund focused on AI social media and consumer startups.

Led by Max Rivera in 2025, the fund targets pre-seed and seed companies building products that deepen human connection.

Ghost Angels has already backed at least five startups and plans to invest in 15 or more additional companies within the next year.

Its focus includes social services and generative AI creator tools for music, gaming, sports, and fashion.
