New Fortnite update turns the game into Singstar and introduces Showdown Act 2

Epic Games removed Ballistic mode and added new Fortnite Festival features, including mic vocals and support for Rock Band 4 drum kits.

Battle royale now has Showdown Act 2, a new event centered on Jules vs Dasha.

Save the World has been made free-to-play, changing a major part of Fortnite’s progression model.

The update pushes Fortnite beyond battle royale with more music-game and social play options.
