Microsoft admits Windows 11 lost its way, Nadella pledges to "win back fans"

Microsoft says Windows 11 is getting a reset around core fundamentals: better performance, cleaner setup and update flows, and fewer ads and upsells.

The company also plans to move away from web-wrapper apps and build more Windows 11 experiences with native tooling.

This marks a notable course correction aimed at fixing quality, consistency, and sluggishness on a platform used by more than 1.6 billion devices.
