KOSPI paid-in capital increases cut in half... first-half total reaches 6.3 trillion won

In the first half, listed companies raised KRW 6.2722 trillion through rights offerings, down 24.5% from a year earlier.

KOSPI firms accounted for KRW 2.4183 trillion from 30 companies, with both the number of deals and amount dropping sharply.

KOSDAQ showed the opposite trend: 175 companies raised KRW 3.7394 trillion, up from last year.

Free share issuance also increased, with 28 companies issuing 336.76 million shares.

SKC had the largest rights offering, while Lunit issued the most free shares.
