Final Fantasy 14 Reveals Massive Gameplay Changes in Evercold

Square Enix unveiled Evercold at the Anaheim Fan Festival, calling it one of Final Fantasy 14’s biggest systemic overhauls.

The expansion will add a Battle Pass-like progression system, split jobs into Reborn and Evolved modes, and simplify gearing across jobs.

Raids, quests, and instanced content will also be updated, reshaping how players progress through endgame content.

Evercold is set to launch in January 2027.
