TSMC to raise mature-node foundry prices starting January 2027

TSMC is reportedly telling some customers it will raise mature-node foundry prices starting in January 2027.

Analysts link the move to strong AI demand, higher costs, and tight capacity that is also pushing up mature-node pricing.

TSMC had already increased prices for leading-edge nodes like 3nm, and second-tier foundries are also raising rates.

The higher prices could ripple through consumer, industrial, and automotive chips, pressuring downstream margins and supply-chain costs.
