Super Mario Galaxy 2 Updated to Version 1.4.0, Here Are the Full Patch Notes

Nintendo has updated Super Mario Galaxy 2 to version 1.4.0 on April 29, 2026.

The patch fixes issues and improves stability on both Switch and Switch 2.

It also adds a new storybook entry that unlocks after clearing a galaxy and earning a Power Star.

Players may also notice a lighting fix in Tall Trunk Galaxy, and Nintendo Music added a related new track.
